Uses
Treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by susceptible strains of Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax.
Do not use if
Hypersensitivity to mefloquine or related compounds; contraindicated for prophylaxis in patients with major psychiatric disorders.
Side effects
Dizziness, nausea, vomiting, sleep disturbances, and neuropsychiatric reactions may occur.
Warnings
Serious psychiatric and neurologic adverse effects may occur and can persist after discontinuation.

Antimalarial agent active against susceptible blood-stage malaria parasites with enhanced absorption when taken with food.
