Uses

This combination of methocarbamol (a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant) and paracetamol (an analgesic/antipyretic) is indicated for the symptomatic relief of acute musculoskeletal pain associated with muscle spasm, including back pain, neck pain, and sports injuries.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to methocarbamol or paracetamol, myasthenia gravis, and severe hepatic impairment. Paracetamol is contraindicated with regular alcohol use in high doses.

Side effects

Methocarbamol may cause drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, and headache. Urine discoloration (green, blue, or black) may occur. Paracetamol is generally well-tolerated; hepatotoxicity is possible in overdose.

Warnings

May impair mental and/or physical abilities; caution when driving or operating machinery. Avoid alcohol. Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. Do not exceed recommended daily paracetamol dose from all sources.

How it works

Methocarbamol acts centrally in the spinal cord and brain to depress polysynaptic reflexes, reducing skeletal muscle spasm without directly relaxing muscle fibers or the neuromuscular junction. Paracetamol provides additional analgesia through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

Store below 30°C. Keep in a dry place away from light and out of reach of children.
