Used for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adults.

Do not use if

Contraindicated with MAOI therapy and in patients with hypersensitivity to mirtazapine.

May cause somnolence, increased appetite, weight gain, dry mouth, and dizziness.

Monitor for suicidal thoughts, serotonin syndrome, and clinical worsening during treatment.

Mirtazapine enhances central noradrenergic and serotonergic neurotransmission through receptor antagonism.

Store at room temperature.
