Uses

Used for susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory tract, ear, sinus, skin, urinary tract, and certain other infections.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to cefuroxime or other beta-lactam antibiotics.

Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, and allergic reactions may occur.

Serious allergic reactions and Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea may occur.

Second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis.
