Uses
Active immunization against invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y.
Do not use if
Severe allergic reaction to a previous dose or any vaccine component.
Side effects
Injection-site pain, redness, fever, headache, or fatigue may occur.
Warnings
Vaccination may not protect all recipients. Postpone in severe acute illness when appropriate.
How it works
Stimulates the immune system to produce protective antibodies against meningococcal bacteria.
Storage
Store refrigerated at 2°C–8°C. Do not freeze.
