Uses

Used with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, metabolic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis, and hypersensitivity to either component.

Hypoglycemia, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, weight gain, and vitamin B12 deficiency may occur.

May cause hypoglycemia and rare lactic acidosis. Renal function should be monitored.

Combines insulin secretion stimulation by glyburide with insulin sensitization and reduced hepatic glucose production by metformin.

Store at room temperature in a dry place.
