Uses
Used for treatment of ALK-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer in adults.
Do not use if
Contraindicated with strong CYP3A inducers due to risk of serious hepatotoxicity.
Side effects
May cause hyperlipidemia, edema, cognitive effects, peripheral neuropathy, weight gain, and fatigue.
Warnings
Monitor for CNS effects, lipid abnormalities, cardiac conduction changes, and liver toxicity.
How it works
A tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting ALK and ROS1 signaling pathways involved in tumor growth.
